The test bench for water meters allows for the measurement error of meters, flow meters, and hydrants up to 300 mm in diameter. Obtaining these errors at different flow rates defines the flow error curve for the entire operating range of the equipment. The method for calculating the error consists of comparing, over a specific time, the reading of the tested equipment with the weight of the accumulated volume in a tank resting on a scale. These scales are 10 times more precise than the most precise of the elements being tested. One of the most important features is that it allows for continuous flow meter testing, meaning the flow rate is maintained from the beginning to the end of the test.
