A mechanised irrigation system that moves linearly across a rectangular plot of land to distribute water and fertiliser, covering large areas of land with little labour and high uniformity. Unlike a centre pivot, this equipment does not have a fixed anchorage point, but moves around the plot guided by a furrow or cable system and is fed by a hose or a motor-pump unit that moves together with the structure.
