The agroclimatic station at CENTER belongs to the SiAR network (Agroclimatic Information System for Irrigation) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment. The data captured allows determination of the evapotranspirative demand of the crop, a determining factor for irrigation needs that is calculated through different climatic variables, the values of which are recorded at an agroclimatic station such as the one shown here.
PYRANOMETER
It measures global solar radiation between 350 and 1100 nm by means of a silicon photocell that generates a voltage proportional to the radiation received.
THERMOHYGROMETER
It measures air temperature by means of a platinum resistance thermometer and relative humidity of the air by means of a solid-state capacitive sensor.
RAIN GAUGE
It measures the volume of precipitation by means of a tipping bucket system with a reed relay that generates a pulse for each tip, which corresponds to a specific volume of precipitation.
ANEMOMETER
The rotation of the propeller generates an alternating current electrical signal with a frequency proportional to the wind speed. The wind direction is determined by a high-precision conductive potentiometer attached to the wind vane shaft./p>
CONTROL UNIT (DATA LOGGER)
o It automatically and continuously records and stores the values of the variables. It is powered by a battery and solar panel system.
